Lentala’s mission is to enable people to use furniture design for good health & Well-Being.
With a clean conscience, we develop new quality products at the intersection of Design & Movement Science that are renewable and responsibly made.
Through a unique interdisciplinary collaboration between designers and movement scientists Lentala’s pioneering designs all started with woodworking prototypes and testing at schools.
After 3 years of design development, supported by research performed by the University of Groningen* and the Free University of Amsterdam*, the seating designs were scientifically proven that children engage in more variation and freedom of movement than regular chairs.
Since Lentala’s very first designs, Rom & Lupa 2023 edition, were exhibited at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023 and was shortlisted in the FRAME Design Awards 2023 and shortlisted in the Well-Being Design category of the DEZEEN Awards 2023.
Lentala is motivated today to professionalize the distribution of its seating designs in schools, colleges, universities and after schools so that today's youth become the forerunners in society's transformation to active healthy sitting habits.
