Lentala is a Design Start-Up founded by Boris Lancelot (in the middle) which is based in Amsterdam & producing in Europe.
We represent a new generation of modern design that serves the body.
Where the design process begins with creating form that follows posture and movement.
Through a unique interdisciplinary collaboration between designers and movement scientists Lentala’s pioneering designs all started with woodworking prototypes at the farm.
Followed with scientific testing at schools performed by the University of Groningen* and the Free University of Amsterdam*. After 3 years of design development supported by multiple research projects the seating designs were scientifically proven that Children engage in more variation and freedom of movement than regular chairs.
Lentala’s mission is to enable people to use furniture design for good health & Well-Being.
With a clean conscience, we develop new quality products at the intersection of Design & Movement Science that are renewable and responsibly made.
Since Lentala’s very first designs, Rom & Lupa 2023 edition, were exhibited at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023 and was shortlisted in the FRAME Design Awards 2023 and shortlisted in the Well-Being Design category of the DEZEEN Awards 2023.
Lentala is motivated today to professionalize the distribution of its seating designs in schools so that today's children become the forerunners in society's transformation to active healthy sitting habits.
